After grabbing only one point in their first 13 games of the season, it was no secret that Sheffield United’s form dropped from their previous season.

The 2019-20 season was Sheffield’s first in the Premier League since 2007. However, they had an unexpectedly fantastic season, finishing in 9th place. Be that as it may, this season, so far, they have 4 wins and 2 draws out of 32 games.

Their first win came in matchday 18, as they beat Newcastle United 1-0. However, they are now sat bottom of the table, 10 points under West Brom, who have a game in hand. Avoiding relegation is now, unfortunately, impossible for Sheffield United.

David McGoldrick, with 6 goals and 1 assist in the Premier League so far this season, has arguably been Sheffield’s best player this season.
