Manchester United made an opening bid to FC Barcelona to sign Frenkie de Jong. It was €60 million guaranteed, as well as €10 million in add-ons to be negotiated. Barça turned down the offer, however, demanding €85 million.
De Jong has not given a public opinion on the matter. Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, however, wants to manage the midfielder once again.
De Jong has not at all had a season to remember, with only 3 league goals and assists each. However, perhaps he can shine under Erik ten Hag once again, like he did at Ajax.
