Karim Benzema announces retirement

Karim Benzema has announced retirement from France’s international team. After scoring 37 goals in 97 matches for Les Bleus, his career in international football has come to an end. He did not play in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which France won. And although he was in the 26 man squad for the 2022 World Cup, he did not have a single appearance as he was injured before the tournament started. However, despite making an early recovery, the Real Madrid legend did not go to Qatar to play in the tournament.
